Family holiday on Norderney
Beach, games, fun and Hotel Friese
Norderney for families ...
Building sandcastles is possible in any weather - but is the most fun in summer - collecting shells and snail shells on the beach.
Several playgrounds on the west and north beaches, in the dunes on the cape or indoors (in less favourable weather) invite children of all ages.
The National Park House with its diverse life offers insights into life in and around the Wadden Sea.
The whole family can learn to surf in the safe surfing bay.
Cycle tour - just a short ride to the end of the road or all day around the dykes.
Fly a kite.
A mudflat hike with a mudflat guide is always an experience - but please don't go without one - it can be life-threatening.
Island tours with lots of interesting facts or anecdotes with the ‘Bömmels-Bimmelbahn’ are always fun. Even islanders always learn something new.
A long walk along the beach to the end of the island with the wreck can also be beautiful - but be sure to take the wind and water level into account.
And there is much more to discover.

Hotel Friese - an overview
Our traditional and family-run Hotel Friese looks back on a long history. The comfortably furnished and typically Frisian hotel is just a 200 m walk from the sea and close to the shopping streets. Despite its central location, Hotel Friese is completely quiet. Our popular restaurant “Friesenschänke” is located directly in the hotel. A delicious and rich breakfast buffet awaits you every morning from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Hotel Friese.
