Discover the island with the cable car

Some of these destinations you can discover already on an island flight or on an island tour with our famous "Bömmels Bimmelbahn". The Bimmelbahn takes you to the Norderneyer Mühle and then continues past popular squares and historic buildings as well as the impressive dune landscapes of Norderney. Then it takes you to the marina of Norderney with its famous lighthouse and further to the cape of the island. The trip ends at the water tower of Norderney built in 1929.

And while you as a passenger of the Bimmelbahn take in the picturesque panorama of Norderney, you will also learn about the history of our island.

On Norderney there are many museums, such as the natural history museum Wadden Worlds, the Bath Museum, our local museum or the seal station and whale museum as well as the lifeboat museum. Other sights of importance are the landmarks and monuments of Norderney and the historic buildings on the island. In addition to the lighthouse, these include the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, the wreck at Ostend, the Theater and the Imperial Post Office, the Norderney Windmill and the Conversationshaus on Norderney.
